is it true that they are going to stop making the pro 433 if so why i thought it was a newer scanner i am going to get one soon

Yes it appears so and looks like the Pro160 will be its successor. Radio Shack's model line up comes and goes like the wind and has done so for several years. If you are going to get one it will be in store only.
