Pro-83 Help

[Muxlow]

Last night my Pro 83 well off the desk and somehow made the audio stop. It powers up and everything but i have no audio.
The speaker is still ok and the wires from the board to the speak are good and still connected.
Any ideas? I even took off the tap to see if that was the problem and i still have nothing. It wouldnt get a signal when on a control channel either for trunker/unitunker.
Maybe a diode went pop?

I took the speaker out and hooked it up to somethign els and it works.
What part of the board should i look for a crack? I was about a 2 foot fall from the desk to the carpet.
I had the cord hooked in it for the tap and i figured that pulled something. Maybe that touched something on the inside and poped something

If i could id like to send it to someone who would be able to look at it and fix it possibly

Sounds like you found the problem. Does it also work with headphones? You should be able to order a replacement speaker from Uniden. I forget which Uniden model is a near identical twin to the PRO-83 (in terms of plastic case design and speaker).

If the speaker works why get a replacement???

I dont think it is the speaker it self. I took it out and hooked it up to somethign els and it works.
It just dont work while in the scanner...

Nope. Headphone jack has no audio out of it either

Sounds like its time for a replacement. Just be happy that its cheap radio.

Well its not the squelch.. It still works. No audio out of the speaker or headphone jack... Nor is it working for trunker/unitrunker.. What could be blocking the audio?
