Pro-96 for ARMER

Would the radio shack Pro-96 be able to receive the Itasca county simulcast? I've programmed in 852.75cc and I don't hear anything. If I manually go to the frequency I get DG in the top right corner. Sometimes it says 96: ----- 00% . Just earlier I was riding around and I manually went to the freq and I heard tiny bits of what sounded like voice. I was told to go to the Minnesota forum from the radio shack scanners forum of radio reference.

This link may help explain why you are having problems. Simulcast systems tent to have problems for scanner listeners.

If you can get the best signal you can will/may help. You may have to use and external antenna on your vehicle or a directional antenna at home.

If it says that you are decoding 00% you arent getting enough of a signal for the scanner to decode. You might want to think about trying another antenna or changing location.

I've programmed in all the frequencies besides the control channel and tuned all them up one step and turned off the delay, (858.9000 to 852.90625). Otherwise it would sound garbled and unintelligible. I can only hear it clearly when I'm about 5 to 6 miles from my nearest simulcast tower (I live 9 miles away). In certain places in my house I can hear them clearly. This was just to let everyone know I don't have a problem listening anymore.
