I have a Scantenna mounted on a 20' mast. It works GREAT with my old Regency M400. But it doesn't work at all with my Pro 97. The only way I can get a signal is if I hold the BNC connecter just on the edge of the 97's antenna receptacle.

Until I get my Scantenna working, I'm attaching my PMM3B to one of my wife's steel cookie sheets. Works great but I'm gonna get it if she catches me!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Signal overload

You have signal overload, probably FM or high band RF. You can buy an FM trap from radio shack install it in line with your antenna cable. Other folks have had good luck turning on the ATT for all channels to see if that helps reduce the overload.
