Pro-97 Programming

I'm very new to this Scanning with the Pro-97. I have figured out how to enter frequencies into banks and scan through them but I haven't a clue what I am doing with the motorola mode. Or scanning in the 800 mhz. The manual seems to be written as having some knowledge in this but I do not. Is there anyone that would take the time to step me through some of these options in the motorola trunking programing? I have frequencies, and some id groups, that I have gotten off of www.trunkingscanner.com and some other sites for Utah. I would really appreciate it, you don't know how much I would.

First off that link does not seem to work for me. You can go to the database in this site and look for the trunking system that you are trying to program into your scanner. What city, county is it you want?

Also go to the Wiki site on the toolbar above and click on Radio Shack scanners and look for the Pro 97. Lots of infomation right here on this site.

In addition to the good advice scnnr has given, you may what to check out this as a quick reference that addresses most of the programming for a PRO-97. It prints fine, but to view on your screen you will have change the orientation

Oh and WildeWest, since you did mention Utah in your post perhaps try that forum for help. There are a few pro 97 owners in that Forum that post all the time you could get great help from I am sure.
