I have the New RS Pro106 and ARC500. I seem to be having some programming issues...
When I use the software, to set up my new system (EX> like one of the Counties) I seem to be having a issue where the trunked system goes. Sometimes when its done, the Scanner reads, "Nothing Enabled".
If I try to see whats in the scanner, it appears sometiomes the programming didnt take.

One more issue, when I get the first system in, how do I get the next system to take?
A lot of times, when I try for the second one, it wipes out the first. Then sometimes it goes in but puts the system in a really weird number...EXAMPLE 1st system is Bank 2, then the 2nd one gets put in Bank11

HELP, SOS, Throw me a line!!

Every subsequent upload to the scanner will overwrite whatever was there...So, you need to add your systems so they are all in one file. Remember, the Bank's work different in this scanner. You can enter Systems, Talkgroups, and conventional resources and then you can create different scanlists using any of these entries. Your scan list is just a map of the objects you want scanned.

I use WIN500 to program my pro 106 but the concept is similar. Adding to what the last guys said. Set everything up exactly how you want it on your computer then send it to the scanner and everything should work fine.

Don’t forget to build your scan lists on your computer as well.

Every time you flash your programming to the scanner the last programming is erased and replaced with what you just did.

Enjoy

I had the same experience when I went from the 396XT to a PSR-500. The GREs are a bit different to program but you will pick it up in no time. The decoding is a lot better on the GREs.
