pro164 all channels locked out?

when i hit the scan button i get all channels locked out.i looked in the manual. nothing works.scanners new to me.this happen after downloaded a system from rr.using win97.

Your banks are all locket out. You have to press the number of the bank that you want to scan to scan it. If you've got stuff programmed on bank "1", you need to press the 1 key to turn it on.

Then it is possible you programmed it incorrectly. I don't have a 164 in front of me but I'm sure there is someone that could help.

Obviously, you have used software to program the scanner. Open up the file in the software to see where everything was programmed. It may have ended up all in one bank. Or, you used the extra cable end on the USB programming cable. It should be just the stereo plug, not the mono.

The bank(s) that are active for scanning have no frequencies programed in them. Press "MAN" and step through the channels, are there frequencies programed in the channels?
