I am monitoring the Kentucky State Police frequency and it is a UHF system that is APCO-25 compliant. It is a conventional system. It is not a trunking system. They have A and B channels and on the B channel at the end of the voice transmissions it has the machine gunning sound. What can I do to stop this? All of the delay, hold settings are set at 0. AGC is turned off. I also have a BCD 785 and side by side the 785 does not do this. It will remain on that same channel as the 396 but it does not have the machine gun sound. It is silent. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
