Obvious questions; what scanner are you using? What software, if any? Have you got the scanner and software communicating with one another? What are you trying to hear (see the database link below - the trunked systems are linked at the bottom of the page)

Bucks County, Pennsylvania (PA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Please be much more specific. Are you trying to program Bucks' trunked system? The required offsets are documented on the database entry.

best regards..Mike

Are you trying to program the county trunked system or conventional? I'm assuming it's the TRS, but we need more info to help you :)

I think he's trying to use the pre-programmed stuff. I don't suggest it though as it'll always be way out of date compared to the info from RadioReference.com

The Pro-197 and its handheld Pro-164 little brother are not easy to hand-program. 7 steps will get you nowhere IMHO. You need the programming cable, software (ARC-500) and a premium or feed-provider membership here to get the easiest and most complete programming for your area. If you can find someone local who has the cable, software and membership you'll get the scanner programmed much better than the pre-programmed V-scanner folder would ever give you.

Just to be fair, the other 2 biggies for that scanner are Win500 and PSRedit500

The links for all 3 software packages, and a link to our article that discusses the USB cable (which, with the RS scanners, must be bought separately) can be found here...(all links are in blue)

To download data from the database, you need a premium subscription...

and there is a cheatsheet for programming these radios, although how applicable it would be to the Bucks system, I don't know - there is an extra step according to the database to set the offsets...

It's probably best to start with reading the manual and/or the Easier to Read manual. No matter which software you choose, you need to understand the method of programming so you know what you're doing and why...
