Programming Cable with Win97

Can I use this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2177609 with my Pro-97/2055 and Win97? Will it work okay, or do I need to buy anything else?

That is the cable you want, it work's excellent with win97 and my PRO-97
Actually, I have used this cable to program all of my scanner's without any
problems at all.

I bought the usb cable to use with my scanner it didnt seem to work that good. i found a grey serial port cable there for $5 that works great for my pro2055

Yeah, I had that old serial port cable too, and it worked, but for my new computer I need the USB because I dont have a serial port. I guess I'll try it out and see... Thanks.

That's right, most new computer's don't even have serial ports anymore. I think alot of problems people are having with the usb cables are the port settings. Follow the driver installation instructions carefully, make sure you select the correct port# in the win97 software and you should be OK.
