I keep reading that you DO NOT want to use the 20-048 from Radio Shack. Then I read that the 20-289 works. This is for a Pro-95 and a Pro-97.

I have the 20-047, and it tells me everything is working. Only, once it says "done", nothing is there.

Suggestions?

Correct. That model cable is for scanners that came out prior to the Pro-95 and Pro-97.

Yes, that is the "serial" version of the correct cable.

The 20-047 is the correct USB cable.
Are you sure you have the correct COM port settings?
Also, if my memory is correct, you don't need the extra "extension" plug on the cable.
