You didn't give anywhere near enough info for anyone to help you. What model scanner? what (or who) P25 channels? do any work? Conventional or trunked?

RE: programming help

It is a Radio Shack PRO-106, None of the P25 channels work, Only the conventional frequencies work, I am in Strafford County in New Hampshire, I checked the frequencies here and there is only one P25 frequency for each PD or FD, Not multiples, Which I thought I needed, I have tried everything ! Turned the ATT off, on, search mode you name it ! not a peep from any of the P25 channels...

Not sure how to program that scanner but there is a forum specifially for it hat may be able to offer more help. NH SP use only P25 and most of the PD in that area except Exeter use P25, they all use simplex which means you are right only 1 channel to program. I have them in a BCD996t and I get them just fine. .

What are the P25 freq's are u referring to exactly??

I have Stafford County as 154.725 NAC=527 and they come in loud n clear. Also u might want to try others like SP Trp A 151.40, SP Trp B 154.935 both use NAC=826

If you set the MODE to AUTO it will look automatically select the default mode and find the NAC for you. You can then save it. Remember that while some transmissions are P-25, others are not. Typical of Hillsborough County and others you will hear one transmission in P-25 and another not. And P-25 is not a frequency, it is a mode used on the frequency, this is known as mixed mode P-25, all radios used by an agency that has P-25 can also be used in normal FM.

Try checking your town channels again. I use these sites for PL codes and what not:

New Hampshire scanner frequencies
Strafford County, New Hampshire (NH) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
Strafford County New Hampshire Scanner Radio Frequencies

Not all things listed are correct so you have to check and recheck. I even look at cityfreq.com and see what has been licensed for certain towns then match what is on the database.

Most of your county for PD is digital, I know I used to listen to Sommersworth PD's repeater over here and they went digital so all I can hear now is the ambulance dispatches which isn't fun. Madbury is fun to listen to because SP sometimes broadcasts their bolo's on it, but I don't monitor any other county except mine.
