Has anyone had success programming a PRO-93 to pick up Hanover County, Virginia EDACS system using Scan Cat Lite? I want to be able to scan fire or sheriff's dept as individual units and delete all of the "local gov't" junk. I also have the USB programming cable from Radio Shack. Thanks for any help...

I use win93 to program my Pro-93. You can enter your frequecies and select closed mode. then enter only the talkgroups you want to listen to. the rest will be locked out as long as you leave the bank in closed mode. I havn't tried scancat lite. As far as your location, EDACS Standard Anolog should be no problem to monitor.

I second that, try Win93. Its free to download and use, and it works great with the USB cable. Make sure you enter the frequencies in Logical Channel Number order. So, you'd leave channel 0 in the bank you want to put the system in blank. Start programming the channels in LCN order going right up the list as shown in the database (http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=134). This is really important when programming an EDACS system otherwise the scanner won't track it correctly.
