Programming pro-95 alpha tags with win95

Hello. I've downloaded win95 from http://www.starrsoft.com/freeware/win95/default.asp. As i don't have the scanner yet, i created a new file. I can input frequencies into the fields and change the tags. However, it wont let me change the name of the bank or let me program in an alpha tag for the Talk Group ID's. It lets me put the Talkgroup ID in, but not the alpha tag. Any ideas?

Its really odd. I just created a new file. And when i try to type in the alpha tags or the bank name it just beeps at me and wont let me type. hmm...

Left click in the box, then backspace to the left most point then type in the tag, up to 12 characters. Alternately you can drag the cursor over to the left also.

The most effective method is to open a spreadsheet (I use Excel) and type in the Alpha Tag in the first column, ID in the second. After listing all for your bank, copy and past into by clicking into the 00 window under Alpha Tag, then either use the Paste Icon or right click and select Paste. You can do this with the freqs and Tags also. Just keep the tags to 12 and under.

LOL -- Now don't i feel stupid. lol. Why would they put spaces in there by default?!?! Oh well.

Scanner or no scanner, you should be able to alter any fields.
