programming question

Greetings,

I am in the process of programming my new bc296d. I am having a problem storing found talkgroups.
page 59-60 of the manual says while id searching press hold/man to hold the tg then press transfr. When i do that i get a beep and it displays "enter lock". I have checked the system menu and made sure the enter lock is set to off. I also have made sure the keypad lock is set to off. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Gee I would write down ID's found and enter them using the software. Then I could put text on them or lock them out.

I figured it out. The Screen Mask was on so when I tried pressed transfer it could not display the next available id #.
