Programming Software for Pro-106

What software works with a Pro-106 and does Radio Shack sell it and how much does it run?

Im just looking to buy some programming software that willl make it alot easier to program my Pro-106 rather than doing it by hand.

I have heard of Win500, but not sure if the shack sells it or if it works with the Pro-106

I use PSR Edit. Win500 is also popular. Other programs are also available. Both PSR and WIN500 have trial periods. Try both and see which one you like. You will also need a program cable from Radio Shack. If you are lucky you can still get the old one for around $20.00, the new one is $35.00.

ARC 500 by Butel is another popular program.

I have tried all three, and while ARC 500 is my personal favorite, you really can't go wrong with any of them.

I went with the ARC500, it is very good and user friendly. I love it so much better then trying to program by hand.

Everyone has their favorite. Mine is Win 500. It is fairly easy to use and the support is excellent. It is available on line as a download. Practically all of the software is available for a free 30 day trial period so you can draw your own conclusions.
