You will need 2 additional pieces. First, you'll need a software package like Win500. See the Wiki under software for good explanations of the various programs offered. Second, you'll need to subscribe to RR as a Premium Subscriber to be allowed to download from the site.

Sorry, didn't know what you meant. The process is to import your desired frequencies from RR into the scanner programming software. You're going to want to massage and organiize some in the software and when all is to your liking then upload from the software to your scanner. Remember, the upload process replaces all programming in your scanner so insure that if you have some programming done, you download that into the software first, then get your new freqs from RR and organize all to what you want. Then upload to scanner.

Thank you for your help. Theres so much about the Pro 106 I don't understand. It came pre-programed and I didn't want to mess anything up but I did want to try to program it to see if I can actually do it and I think you can back up the data on your scanner to V-Scanner or to PC and recall it later if something goes wrong.as far as hand programming the thing I just don't know lol. its a new one on me. Again thanks for your help.

this was new to me and still is but win 500 so far seems to be the easest for me , upload what is in your scanner to win 500 then save it. then when you go to rr and down load to new template this will let you play a little on new template and if you mess it up you always have the first folder you saved , it is alot to lern , so read as much as you can and play with it, good luck

Download the frequencies, save them to a file, then open the file and you can eliminate or add whatever your heart desires. As always save your files. I created a folder for each of my ham radio and scanner software programs, one for Win97, one for Win500, one for Wouxon, one for Yaesu, etc. That way you don't have to go through all your folders or every single saved file, just go to the folder for the particular program/radio. I tag my files with the date of creation for ease of reorganizing and reprogramming.
