I have used Winn 500 to program the first nine scan lists in my pro 106. What I don't know is how to go about creating a air frequency list that I would like to store in scan list #10. Is this possible with Winn 500 and if so would someone point me in the right direction on how to do this. Or is there somewhere on RR that has a air band data base. I have looked but I can't find anything. I know that a air band would be very very wide spred so I don't think there is one. Thanks before hand to anyone who can help. By he way I'm in SW Va. if it makes a difference.

If there is an airport in your location it would be in the data base. I'm not familiar with that part of the country. You can try this link and find an airport that is close to where you live. Virginia Aviation Frequencies FlightRadio.com

And there is also the air traffic control center for your area. It might be Washington DC, but not sure. Those from your area will be able to give you more info.

Keep in mind that unless you are really close to an airport you will only hear the aircraft communications and not ground communications as these are typically low power. I am only a few miles from my airport and cannot hear the tower or ground freqs.

What I did for my 396XT (Freescan) was to make a spreadsheet in Excel where I started with 118.000 and added .025 to each cell until I reached 136.000 (If you have Excel, type 118. in A1, in cell A2 put in =A1+0.025. Then just drag it down to you get to where you want). I did a copy/import and loaded my scanner with all the frequencies. I then set it to scan and found almost all the channels that were in my area and then some!
