ProScan: Proscan and USB cable on BCD996P2

Is anyone having issues with Windows 10 and the USB cable? All of a sudden my computer is having an issue with the USB driver and Proscan will not recognize the connected device. Windows message states that the driver has failed. Maybe a recent windows update occurred that is causing this issued. I've tried two cables and also re-installed the prolific driver. This problem all of a sudden just popped up during some active scanning last night.

I just received a new PC a few days ago. It is now running the May Win10 update. Your post reminded me that the 996 is one piece of hardware I had not tried.

Plugged in a cable (USB-C in fact) and it recognized it right off in Proscan. Downloaded data no issue. Even had the same com port as It assigned from before in Proscan
