Proscan Walkthrough

Hi all. I am really trying to get better at understanding Proscan beyond the absolute basics. I have watched some videos on YouTube that are a bit dated. Is there anyone willing to connect over a Teams sessions maybe to be able to let me learn a few specific things? I also currently use scannercast to host my feed and would rather combine to use proscan etc. Really appreciate anyone willing to provide a little assistance. Thank you in advance.

I recently watched some videos by YouTube channel creator Drone Farmer. He had some good stuff. Not sure what you're after specifically. The point of these forums is to ask for help and get it from multiple people. Though I understand your desire for a one-on-one session, I would suggest asking your questions here in this thread and let others chime in and give some guidance. Sometimes crowd sourcing is better than just one person. Plus, @ProScan himself is on here, so...nothing better than the source replying to your inquiries.

If you just want to start by replacing scannercast, my free RadioFeed will do the job. What type of scanner do you have? I personally don't like to use Teams or TeamViewer. There's a lot of helpful people here that may help on that. I think it's better to ask your questions here so others can chime in. If you want to try ProScan, download the fully functional 30 day demo/trial.

Thank you all for the responses. My challenge has been that just experimenting, reading or watching the older videos are getting me what I need to learn. For example, in another thread I asked about how I can see the IDs in my talkgroups to make sure the ones I want are in there and the ones I don't want aren't. I was told to expand the tree and then the TG IDs would be there to see. They aren't though when do that. I only see the frequencies.

Setting up priority scan has been challenging for me, etc. I think I am more of a hands on learner so that is why I thought it may work better to talk with someone so I can see what they do while I repeat it myself so I don't keep clogging here with questions. I totally appreciate that ProScan is here and that is one of the reasons why I bought the software, but I have been struggling a bit since them to really take advantage of its features beyond simply uploading files and systems from RR to my scanner.

As for scanners the primary one, which is my feed, is a UnidenBCD325P2. I also have a BC125AT, which I planned to use for another feed possibly, and I have a BCD436HP which I plan to use as a mobile scanner as I am traveling and out and about.

Did you import the system from the RadioReference DB? If so then the TGID groups will import if the boxes are kept in the checked state.
