3001 AMT-AIR (Old) appears to have gone silent.
I heard it the other day when they were on PEI. I know they were grounded for a few days for repairs. Not sure if they're back up yet.

They were having radio issues first of last week. Think there was some radio testing last Wednesday. Haven't heard the last few days.
Usually hear them arriving/departing the Infirmary.
The 2 fire TG's I mentioned Saturday are still silent, Heard a unit going for "radio training" today.

FYI everyone,

Encryption discussion is permitted. It is when you negatively discuss on-line scanner streaming and encryption together that it is discouraged as it insults the Radioreference owner's other business enterprise, Broadcastify.

Just be courteous in your replies and stay off the moderation radar.
I respectfully disagree with this. I understand this is a privately owned forum and there a certain rules in place, but to put a restriction on discussing actual facts because the owner's feelings may be hurt is kind of crazy.

Hearing HRFE units going out of service for radio training. Appears the new radios are about to activated. I'm guessing by the end of August. Believe the Airport and East Hants completed the switch last week.
Oh well.
No changes to DND Fire yet.

Heard Old AMT-Air (3001) for first time in two weeks.
Any idea on why both talkgroups are still active? I hear them quite often on 3001 but also see a lot of activity on 3157. Talkgroups are not patched and usage seems to alternate.

Either not all Nova Scotia agencies have the encrypted radios or, maybe there's some regulation preventing aircraft from using encryption.
I've noticed that DNR helicopters still communicate with ground crews on Mutual Aid talk groups.
