PSR-500 Talkgroup Programming...

I am fairly new to the PSR-500, and actually, to scanning in general. I have noticed that some frequencies I find that I want to program use talkgroups with 5 digits and others are in a XXX-X format. Is this scanner specific or is there a setting within the scanner I need to make to accept that talkgroup format?

The XXX-X format (if Motorola) indicates that the system in question is either a Type I or Type IIi system. For these systems, you need to program in a fleetmap for the system. The database should have that information in the notes.
