I haven't taken the time to search the forums to see if this has been posted already, but I seem to have encountered a glitch with my PSR-800 that will shut it down every single time.
From the Main Menu > Search > Service Search > Railroad
Open your squelch and index the radio to 161.34000, now press the Skip button. The speaker on my radio will cut out, the button are unresponsive and the radio shuts down. Furthermore, it refuses to turn back on until a battery is temporary removed and replaced.
I went to the LE search band and Skip worked as one would expect. I went back to the Railroad band and I could replicate the shutdown consistently enough that it is not an anomaly. Other frequencies in Railroad will make the buttons unresponsive and others would shut it down as well.
Can anyone else replicate this or is it just me?
edit -- forgot to add that this is new out of the box, nothing configured. It is, however, up-to-date with GRE on CPU and DSP versions. Serial number: 2376.
