PSR-800 Disable Tones?

Yikes I just want EMS and Fire dispatch not the tones... it wakes my kiddos up

If you are talking about the alert tones, you are stuck with them. If you are talking about tone out tones, often they are on a conventional frequency, but not on a corresponding trunked system. In that case, monitor dispatch on the trunked system only.

It might help give you an answer if we knew what you were listening to, where you are, and if it is a conventional frequency or a trunked talkgroup.

I assume the tones are transmitted by the agency on the conventional frequency or talkgroup. You can add your own alerts using the PSR-800 programming software.
