I have inputted (manual, copy/past from FreeSCAN and from the RRDB) everything I want (trunked and conventional) setup all the scanlists I wanted, and assigned all the systems and freqs to the correct scanlist. I know that on the scanner I can select the V-scan folder I want. But what's the easiest way to organize everything and make it easy to access/change while driving? I know on the Unidens I would press the number key that corresponded to the Quick-key number. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks. This is way different than I am used to.

Oh man, I knew not having a keypad would bother you (lol but not really). Otherwise I hope the unit is woking for you.

There's a section on scan sets in the PSR-800 wiki, linked below - hopefully that will help somewhat...

PSR-800 - The RadioReference Wiki

best regards..Mike

Thanks. I should have looked there first!

Actually, I only found myself needing the keypad once. But the speed at which is transfers from the PC makes it easier to deal with. So far I think it's great. :)

First I became very familiar with all the button press sequences involved in for example changing a scan set while driving and having only sporadic looks at the display in the process. That is pretty much the way I'm doing it today, and learning how many presses on which buttons will get you where is where it's at for me. Good Luck!
