Using the EZ Scan software is there any way to move talk groups within a particular scanlist. For example; in Scanlist 2 if talk group 1001 is in position 1 and talk group 1005 is in position 5 can talk group 1005 be make into position 2 immediately following talk group 1001. Thanks.

In your example, only when TG in position 2, 3 & 4 are deleted will 1005 be moved to position 2.

If your concern is using Objects Browser in scanner, scanlist assignments will sort accordingly. Eg, put TG 2, 3 & 4 in another list. Thus drill right or left to review other list.

Thanks, but not the answer I was hoping for!!!

A lot of this depends on how you use the radio. I've been setting up scanlists as service searches using an Excel spreadsheet. You can set up your stuff as you like and then enter it in that order. In some cases you might have to put something in the alpha tag that you could sort them on, but there are ways to manipulate it.

By maintaining a group of things on a spreadsheet or on a text file, you could keep them all together in a block. When that block changes, you would delete it from the scanner, and then re-import it in its new form.

Hope this helps some, but I share your pain

PSR 800 Scanlist move

Using the included software under the "General Settings" tab you can view all of your scanlists. Can a scanlist be moved from one position to another? I.E. I want Scanlist #23 to be Scanlist #4.

Yes, in Scanlist tab use pulldown and select system with scanlist 23. Highlight all. click in scanlist and check 04. Uncheck 23.

Conversely, use Trunked Radio Systems tab and find system with list 23. Click Talkgroup Details tab, highlight all and finish the same way.

The GRE software does not allow for cut & paste or moving objects around. The excel sheet import/export feature should fix that

Excel sheet import/export?

I'm looking in my GRE EzScan Software and I checked ALL of the menus and do not see this feature anywhere. Can you post a link to the software you are using that allows for import/export of scanlists to a spreadsheet file? Thanks!

There is NO export feature available in EZScan software. You can only import such as an Excel CSV file.

Exporting scanlists into spreadsheet

If the GRE EZ-Scan software will not export the scanlists to Excel or any spreadsheet file, is there a different progtram I could use that has that feature? All of my ham radio programming packages have this feature, so why not scanner programming? Since many GRE scanners are comparable to Radio Shack models, does Radio Shack offer a better program for organizing scanlists? I couldn't find one on their website with the export feature, but I've been known to miss things!
