• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Okay, I'm stumped.

I've got the basics down when it comes to using the V-Scanner folders, except for one tiny thing.....

How do I name (or change the name of)the dang things? (the two I have made so far are named NA) The manual was no help whatsoever and I'm about to pull my hair out 'cuz I'm so frustrated.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. many thanks in advance.

Hey there. On the top of main display go to your file pulldown. At the bottom of the list is your "Set V scanner description" option. You can add a name to your currently displayed V folder. To name the other folders just pull them up and repeat the above. Have fun!

I knew it had to be something so simple I was overlooking it. Thanks for the information; I really appreciate it.
