I am coming to the end of my 30 day trial period on both PSREdit and Win500 and the time is upon me to make a choice between one or the other. I really like them both so it'll be a hard decision. The only question I can think of is how to activate the "scanner control" on PSREdit? I've gone to the radio menu pulldown box, clicked the S.C. box with the USB cable connected to the unit, and, nothing. I do not see a remote monitor screen pop up. What could I be doing wrong? T.I.A. TT PLEASE DISREGARD this post I found the "missing link", PSRCtrl500.

There should be a PSRCtrl500.exe program in the same folder as the PSREdit500 folder. That's the program that does the control of the scanner. You can try starting that manually and see if it works there. The menu option sometimes has issues starting the control program, and I haven't been able to determine why.

I use a shortcut on the desktop for both PSREdit500 and also for the control program. Works easier for me that way, as sometimes I just want to control the scanner and don't need to open the editor.
