Question about the BCD396T

How much money do you think it would cost in electricity to run a Uniden BCD396T handheld plugged in 24/7? I mean like in a month of constant running.
Do scanners even burn much electricity?

maybe, MAYBE a few dollars, they use hardly any electricity

here's something funny....if you leave the transformer plugged into the wall even when your radio/scanner isn't connected to it, it will still draw power. Instead of the power being transferred to the radio/scanner, the transformer will convert the electricity into a magnetic field and a little heat.

Thus...always unplug transformers when not using them. They always draw power.
