I have been listening to UP in the kenosha county area.

and noticed that 160.485 milwaukee sub and 161.040 kenosha and shoreline subs, over the last three weeks have been saying Northeast Dispatcher.

I have heard kenosha sub traffic on the milwaukee sub channel and vice versa.

My question is .. Is Up migrating over to a Trunking system like in oregon..? Does anyone have any knowledge about UP's plans for the greater milwaukee/chicago area?

The Kenosha Sub traffic on the Milwaukee Sub is due to the fact that trains operating from Butler to the Kenosha Sub must first go on the Milwaukee Sub to get to the junction at St. Francis. Also, the Kenosha Industrial Lead (former CNW Farm Sub) is set to use either radio frequency.
