Running Ver. 289 and my area has a new p25p2 in the works for months soon will go live. I have gone in Groups file and delete "TDMA" and than save. A few moments later it comes back how to get rid of it for good or is this can't be deleted?

Shut DSD+ down first, then edit the Groups file, then start the program back up.

I know someone like @slicerwizard is going to come along with a post saying that you can edit the files while the program is running, which is technically true, however I have experienced many occasions where some changes simply do not take while the program is running. Editing Group and User files in particular, they seem to revert even after being saved. Perhaps it's a conflict between what's in RAM vs what's written on the disk, and the RAM wins out. That's a question for the DSD+ author to answer.

I've had this happen to me a few times. It's super annoying, so when I do edit while dsd is running, it's always minor changes.
Like TGID alpha tags.
Exactly, glad I'm not the only one lol

Looks like in addition to having TDMA in the Groups file there is also an matching entry in the Radios file for radios that have been noted on the talk group -

While in theory the labels in the Groups file should override the Radios file, if they do keep popping up you may want to clean that file up as well.

I had an issue back in 2017 where changes to the groups file would revert back. In my case, if I deleted any and all of the .event files, my edits stayed in place. It seemed like it was loading data from the .event files when it loaded up.

This may have changed since I did it last but you could try shutting down DSDPlus and back up any .event files to another directory and then delete the ones in your DSDPlus directory. Then remove the TDMA from each group you desire in the groups file and see if that works. I believe it was safe at one time to also delete .srt files. The .event files did grow pretty big in size and after I got the data I cared about I deleted them and from then on, I got in the habit of deleting them so all edits would stay in place. But again, things may have changed but its worth a try.

Under Misc un-check Tag TDMA then edit the Groups file --
I unchecked it last night after work. I forgot to uncheck it hahahaha I was in a hurry to do some typing and forgot to do that. I'm waiting on certain TG show up if so I'll check see if TDMA shows up.

Have you reached out to DSDPlus? Something changed because its doing it here also. I know a few updates ago, I was able to edit group file with DSDPlus not running and after deleting the event file, my edits remained in place, but now it is not.

I haven't reached to them yet. I'll do that sometime today. I went to groups file and deleted the tdma.

I had it checked. I unchecked it, shut off the program, deleted all the (TDMA) text, and restarted the computer. Ran DSDPlus and the box is still unchecked and no groups are flagged with TDMA.
Works fine.
