Hey All,
I am staying in Waukesha this week as I am here for training from ND. I brought my SDS200 and ham radio. I can not seem to hear any highway patrol on the sds200. I did program the unit by zip code but I cant hear any of the HP operations even though the correct system is selected. I can hear plenty of PD and Fire and EMS. Is the WHP encrypted?

Wisconsin State Patrol is on the WISCOM system not the WiSPN system so I would first check that. Looking at the broadcastify node for southeast region they have been talking.

Wisconsin State Patrol utilizes WISCOM P25 trunked radio system for dispatch but they also use there in squad computers to communicate with dispatch and other troopers extensively so there can be long periods of radio silence. They also can be heard on local sheriff dispatch channels when assisting local county agencies
