I am looking to see if this frequency is correct bc I haven’t heard a thing all day and in there buses have small antennas

That is likely used at a specific school, and not the buses. If they buses have "small antennas", I'd bet QUFSD is on the OneVoice Network DMR system. The trick is figuring out which talkgroup they use.

I’ve just got an image of this one on a judge judy. I’d rather get caught monitoring the whereabouts of a nuclear weapon transport than a school bus. I don’t know what it’s like in the US but even collecting a kid from school first time as a grand parent means you get the stares and nudges from the parents and teachers. Our schools use easily receivable radios and while you could listen in so easily, people don’t, because socially, that would be bad, and if you did it, you wouldn’t own up. I assume it’s not socially awkward in the US. That is a good move.
