Radio Direction Finder (RDF)

My organization is looking into purchasing an RDF. Does anyone have any information on RDF's that work well on VHF. I have never heard of one of these until this morning. Any input would be great.

Do not expect this to be a magic RDF box. RDF takes a great deal of operator skills.

Check out the book by Joe Moell and Thomas Curlee, which is chock full of info for the beginning RDFer.

I believe that it is called "Transmitter Hunting and Radio Direction Finding Simplified" and was written in the late 1980's. Some libraries may still have a copy of it!!

Also, Joe's web site (http://members.aol.com/homingin/) has lots of useful info too!!
