That's an outstanding price. To pay any less you need to buy used (and possibly abused.)

I predict a lot of folks will finally be making the jump to digital, thanks to that sale.

Yes, I think so.

Last year a bunch of us got the Pro-106 for around $320 before shipping and taxes. That was a good deal then, and was the result of a sale price plus some coupon codes that we found. I don't think that deal has been beat from Radio Shack directly yet (not including employee discounts, etc).

So for this scanner to be priced at $299 this time around is a good deal for anyone considering one. I am sure this thread will get bumped up as Black Friday actually arrives. I think we will probably be able to find another coupon code good for at least $25 for online purchases. There usually is. So if you wait, and buy online, there is the potential that this will be around $275.

I am almost tempted to grab a Pro-197 this time around, even though I don't really need one. Almost too good to pass up. These models are excellent.

I wonder if this plays into the sale price? I was wondering if RS will continue to have RS-branded GREs in the future, though. Hopefully the rumor will get fleshed out (DonS???) before we all fill up on turkey and family arguments.

And a whole lot more of us got them at $279 before shipping and taxes. Both of mine came up well under $300 each after taxes and I got free 'Two-Day express delivery' with both of mine.
They where $299 and I used a $20 coupon for items over $200. Ordered them seperately so I use the coupon twice. This was two years ago. So keep your eyes peeled for those coupons.
