I have an HP2 that I enabled the Extreme upgrade. In the morning before I go to work, I start a discovery session. By the time I come home the radio has shut down. I have plugged in the AC power and have tried telling to charge the batteries and not charge the batteries with the same results. The menus seem pretty straight forward, but am I missing something that I should be turning on or off?
I had good luck getting help with the Range question I had previously, so hoping I get lucky a second time. Thanks and 73...

Uniden doesn't have any good error trapping in their firmware if the SD card goes bad and it can show itself in many different ways, and shutting down could be one of them. Buy a new SD card of a known brand like Samsung and max 32GB and see what happens then.

Most issues with SD card are file corruption and isn't any real issues with the SD card but the software that writes to it. So formatting it and using the same SD card can also help and would be the first thing to try.

Use the SD card formatter tool and choose to use the overwrite mode as it then tries to write to each memory cell and checks if it is okay. Then in HomePatrol Sentinel you select the Clear User Data function to format it for the HP scanner and then program it.
