BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Re: I just got a new/new Bearcat scanner

The scanner that I got is a Bearcat BCD996P2. There was a guy in the south part of Kennewick rebroadcasting over the internet the local fire and police on the Proj25 phase 2 setup. A grass land wild fire burned his house down. I was able to get the scanner with part of my stimulus check. I need help in setting up the proj25 phase 2 on the scanner and connecting to the internet to broadcast the fire and police signals. I have never done this before.

While there’s nothing wrong with doing the Broadcastify thing, If someone in your local area is already broadcasting fire and police you are duplicating the effort. Although there is something to be said for duplicating if your scanner’s location receives better signal strength, and in turn, sends clearer comms to Broadcastify. Just sayin...

The other ham operator that was doing the re-broadcasting never got resetup after the fire. At this time there is no re-broadcasting for Benton and Franklyn counties. And the cities in the 2 counties. I have been wanting to do this for a long time. But until I got the 2nd stimulus check I couldn't afford the scanner.

Are you sure about that? I see two active live feeds for Benton/Franklin covering most services.

I have Proscan client setup on my Gateway laptop. And the update button will not give me a list of live feeds period.
