So the local operator has stopped broadcasting I believe due to bad internet. I purchased the BCD996P2 to listen myself with thoughts of broadcasting.

So my question is this...does proscan or any free software allow one to select which channels are being monitored on the device itself that get pushed through to broadcastify? Because I'd like to listen to all the local channels myself. While also following the broadcastify terms and not broadcasting the tactical channels and what not. Thanks in advance.

Basically, what you listen to is what is sent to Proscan (whatever) and broadcast...
Think of it this way. You have one radio.
So, 'one at a time', so to speak.

To listen to multiple items simultaneously and/or filter what goes out, you need multiple radios.

In my ProScan and my Free RadioFeed software, there's a"Broadcast Lockout" function that will not broadcast selected conventional frequencies, talkgroups, and channel names.

@ProScan Awesome Thanks for the response. I already have proscan but will check out the RadioFeed software which I know I need to broadcast to b-ify. I saw that L/O feature when programming the radio so figured it might be available to filter out those specific channels in the RadioFeed software but wasn't sure. Gonna get that downloaded and see if this will work for me.

@nessnet Thank you for your response. Not sure if I was confusing in my question. But to be more specific would I be able to filter out certain talkgroups at the point of the software that is on the computer sending the audio to broadcastify. Which @ProScan mentioned RadioFeed does. But if your point still stand let me know as I am a newb. Thanks again.

That may be different L/O. If you saw it when programming, it's probably for locking out the channel in the scanner. You want to use the "Broadcastify L/O" button located in the Source Client tab.

So I have everything set up but cannot get the broadcast L/O to work in RadioFeed(user error I'm sure. Lol). What would the formatting be to lock out the TGID of 1132 in the .txt file. From the instructions in the document i think site name as I believe the system here is trunked and my BCD996P2 is DMA.

Also, when the lockout is performed correctly does the indicator light up or change color? And do the audio control bars move or will those not move since the lockout is happening? Just trying to figure out what feedback to look for to make sure everything is in order. Thanks for your time.

Is RadioFeed communicating with the scanner? Indicated by the Channel Active indicator (located in the Metadata tab) changing to bright red during a transmission.
Does the text file entry look like this?
1132 SYSTEM=site name

The Lock Out indicator changes from dark red to bright red. The audio level meters will continue to move.

Awesome. It is working. I am an idiot. I did not think about the fact for the software(RadioFeed) to grab data from the scanner that the USM/Micro-usb needs to be plugged into the pc. I tested so many combinations yesterday of lockout formatting and data. But it's all worth it...thank you so much for your time. You comment this morning made me realize the cable likely needs to be plugged in along with audio cable. Thanks for your work on the software as well!!
