This isn't an issue but a question. Not sure if this is really a ProScan topic or if it's BCD436HP/Sentinel adjustments or maybe even RR database adjustments that would alter the behavior.
The below screen shot is a snippet of two nearby towns fire frequencies + mutual aid. For each colored area, the frequencies/tones are the same. When imported into Sentinel & my BCD436HP, they are unique entries. Same goes for the recorded files in ProScan - each entry below would be its own recording. As the radio scans, it might hit a different one of the entries which records it into a different file. As an illustration, activity on 154.76250 might get scanned Glen Rock / Ridgewood FIRE/EMS 2 or Ridgewood/Glen Rock FIRE/EMS 2 depending on which entry was being scanned at the time of the communication.
What do folks do for this - leave as is? Remove duplicates so the frequency only exists once per scan cycle? Alter something in ProScan so these would record as a single file?
Is there any RR database adjustments that you would also consider looking at the below to normalize the info on what is really shared/common?
Many thanks for your input on this.
