My node uses SDRTrunk v6 and it records to WAVE format. However Broadcastify calls says its MP3. Whos encoding the file? is it my node or the broadcastify server?
In sdrtrunk all audio is converted to MP3 for streaming. For recording, meaning retaining the audio recording for long-term, you can choose to store the recorded audio in WAVE or MP3 format, with MP3 format (compressed) using less disk space.
