There is an interoperability drill going on at Reliant today in Houston. You may want to look for new TGs on STAR-Net, or any simplex freqs at Reliant. HFD is on TAC 8, HCSO on Dispatch 6 and all area county OEMs on STAR-Net's OEM 1.

Representatives from 13 Texas counties practice for disaster
(1/23/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) - Representatives from 13 different counties in southeast Texas got together at Reliant Park today to sharpen their skills in the event of a major disaster.
This training is mandated by the state. Representatives from all counties simulated the radio communication needed in case disaster strikes in southeast Texas.
"This is what we're doing to make sure that all of our first responders can all talk to each other in the event of a major disaster, " said Gloria Roemer with Harris County.
A number of similar events will take place throughout the year.

They ran it again this morning from 8 AM (I was told) until I heard them stop (at least the Galveston County part of it) around 10:15 AM.
From my side it sounded like most Galveston County units were NOT monitoring "Mutual Aid 1" or the Houston operations but were instead having information and requests relayed to them by the City of Friendswood EOC.
