relogging on and classifieds

Hello everyone, hope all is well. Two quick questions if I may.
1) Why does the site make you log on first and then if you go to classifieds or anywhere else, it makes you log on again?
2) Is there anyway to look for items in the classifieds by area (ie ontario)? Instead of going through North America?

There are several separate sections to RR that require log on for registered users...

The main site, the forums, the classifieds, the WIKI, and Broadcastify.
