Remote Head For 396

I had a 785 on a mount with a maxtrac remote head under. Nice but took up alot of room.
Here are the before and after pics. This is in a 2005 Crown Vic BTW.
I have the 396 in the trunk until I replace it with a 996.
I love it. Remote is the way to go.....

How did you hookup the power to the 396 ? Do you leave it on constantly ? I was told you could not control the power on/off of the 396 from the remote head and wanted to do the same setup as you.

Nice set up. However, why did you not just get a console that fits under there for your CV?

Thanks, If you turn the batt switch in the 396 to alkis and put a transformer to go from 12v to the voltage the 396 needs. Put it on a switch as in you car access or a relay witch I have done
turn the 396 on and now it goes on and off as you turn your car on and off.
