RI State Police

I have all the listed RI state police freqs in my radios.

The only transmissions I ever hear are "Central" giving scrips of cars doing erratic driving on I95.

Am I doing something wrong or do they have a simplex like system where you can only hear central?

I am interested in hearing the officers doing car stops.

RI State Police is simplex.

Not only is it simplex. It uses a voting receiver and microwave system. Not repeated except for one channel. Also some encrypted activiy on the new RI 800 system.

I'll have to get myself pulled over to see if I have my equipment programmed correctly

So at best I will only be able to hear cars and towers close to my QTH?
