Richland County encryption

Has anyone ran SDR and seen what type of encryption they are running? Does anyone know what they are using? Just curious

All encrypted talk groups on palmetto 800 use des-ofb. Very few talk groups utilize aes-256. Sc has 2 standard encryption keys for palmetto 800. One des-ofb key and one aes-256 key.

Do you know who uses AES on the system? Trying to update the encryption list on here.

As of 2023 the only agencies useing AES are SLED and the 3 secure LE COMM talkgroups all other secure talkgroupes use des-ofb

Yea but there listed as emcrpyred I didn't see fjre dept excepted so is the county city encrypted or right I see lot fire isn't encrypted can u conform

Police use it i see some tac channels.use encryption but is the database up to datae

Richland county fire and ems are not encrypted however ems does have 1 or 2 that are encrypted that are for admin purposes
