I recently received four Ritron radios that are part of the Patriot SST series. One is a SST-150 and the others are SST-450's. The 150 I can't get to work yet and it is VHF, but the other three are UHF and they work fine, but they need new batteries. Anyway, what I really want to know is if there is a way that I can enable the programming on them so that I can program in my own frequencies. I don't feel like paying money for a dealer to do it, and I don't know the original dealer, but if I have to I guess I will. Also, if anybody knows where I could get some batteries for them (model # BPS-6N) that would be great. The cheapest I've seen them for is $19.90 at cutratebatteries.com.

Thanks for the help.

Cable and software through Ritron or make your own cable. Batteries sound like a really good price, not a popular radio so prices will be higher and sometimes hard to find.

In the manual it says you can program from the unit by pushing the PTT button a certain number of times to get the desired frequencies and tones into the radio (after you enter the program/readout mode). But if I can't get that to work then I'll use PC programming.

Thanks
