Perfect example of a simple 1 vehicle accident requiring multiple departments, from multiple counties and using multi different radio systems.

Jeffco: CO-93 just North of CO-72 R/O in a field with AFD E-8 onscene advising one pt trapped poss diabetic issues. Coal Creek (VHF & DTRS), AFD (UHF), APD (Edacs), Pridemark (VHF, UHF, EDACS & DTRS), JCSO (DTRS), CSP (DTRS) and off-duty Boulder FF onscene. O/F 453.150, 151.355, Arv-800, DTRS, Online (001)

Most all the incident sizeup and radio traffic was repeated at least three times by different agencies on different frequencies to different dispatch centers.

There was a fatal on 285 at MM 230 about 5:30 thismorning. The activity on Elk Creek, Jeffco, Flight for Life, CSP 6A.., woke me up. A lot of activity for the same incident.

Fatal

The fatal on Highway 285 did involve a Platte Canyon paramedic, head on at 230 mile marker. She had apparently just dropped off her child before the accident just north of Pine Junction....she was the fatal.

Yes Sara was a volunteer EMT with Platte Canyon Rescue that worked FT for Pridemark Amb and she was enroute to her shift.

Awful week for EMS and Fire folks.
