Anybody know what Royal Caribbean's rules on bringing a scanner on board the ship are?

Also, does anybody know of any special laws regarding scanners in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands?

Never had a problem with my Scanner on any RCI ship.

However, I usually keep an ear-piece in place , to not attract any undue attention.

You can be suprised at what you will hear [distance] from inside, a cabin with a balcony.

Even GMRS via High-Seas, you will get a couple hundred miles into a repeater.

What you can hear at sea

I discovered that if you stand out on deck and hold the radio up next to your ear, you can hear the ocean...even with the radio turned off.

I was really just thinking about keeping it in the room, becuase I plan on doing some other things while on board, just have that as something to do when I'm sitting around.

Simple cruise ship scanner logic

"Out of sight, Out of mind"

as long and you keep it out of sight and only listen to it in your room or on your balcony nobody should say anything to you.

Ive brought my scanner on cruise before and had no problem.
