The other day I was at work, my Department got a call for a structure fire. I was trying to figure out how I could listen to the radio traffic.
I had no access to a scanner or to an online scanner via our work computer.
So, just for the heck of it, I pulled up the RR mobile forums on my phone (Blackberry Storm 2), and clicked the link for the live scanner.
I waited a little for it to buffer, next thing I know, I am hearing my Captain saying he was standing by at the station.
I had the live scanner feed on my cell phone!
