Will Radio Shack be selling a PSR-600 Equivalent radio? Any time frames?

Considering that GRE has firmware updates online and seems to be listening to the scanner community, why wait on the Shack?

Considering that GRE was the supplier for Radio Shack, I doubt Radio Shack will be coming out with any new scanners. But that's just my opinion.

This seems to infer that either the scanner is $499.95 after some sort of store rebate of sorts, or that the scanner is $499.95 but includes a $50 coupon which you can apply to other goods bought at the store. I'm not sure that quite qualifies as being "on sale" in my book, but I'm sure it may for others.

I talked to Glenn today, the $50 is a coupon towards other items in the store.

Given that RS recently started selling their own branded versions of the PSR-300/400 (the PRO-164/163), I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar with the PSR-500/600.

For a number of years now, Radio Shack has sold rebranded Uniden and GRE scanners. Have not seen any information but it would not supprise me is we had a version of the PSR-600 sometime in the future.
