This seems to infer that either the scanner is $499.95 after some sort of store rebate of sorts, or that the scanner is $499.95 but includes a $50 coupon which you can apply to other goods bought at the store. I'm not sure that quite qualifies as being "on sale" in my book, but I'm sure it may for others.

It will be interesting to see what happens with RS. They put the GRE line on sale for a couple of months before Christmas, and started selling the Unidens. I wonder if they know what they are going to do. Hoser
Given that RS recently started selling their own branded versions of the PSR-300/400 (the PRO-164/163), I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar with the PSR-500/600.

For a number of years now, Radio Shack has sold rebranded Uniden and GRE scanners. Have not seen any information but it would not supprise me is we had a version of the PSR-600 sometime in the future.
